- Houve sempre mais para a história Johnny Winter do que aparenta, e se entrar no papel de um blues elétrico albino electric blues guitar player from Texas com um estilo de slides brilhante foi o papel que ele nasceu para preencher, ele levou um tempo para chegar lá. Para começar, ele nasceu no Mississippi, o que pode explicar alguma coisa, e então cresceu no Texas, onde ele tocava clarinete antes de mudar para o violão aos 11 anos de idade.
