Charles Michael "Chuck" Schuldiner (13 de maio de 1967 - 13 de dezembro de 2001) foi um cantor americano, compositor e guitarrista.

Schuldiner foi o cantor, compositor e guitarrista da banda Death, que ele fundou em 1983, sob o nome de Mantas. Ele também gravou como guitarrista e compositor com sua outra banda, Control Denied. Schuldiner é muitas vezes referido como o "Pai do Death Metal",  e seu obituário no 05 de janeiro de 2002 emissão de Kerrang Reino Unido! revista afirmou que "Chuck Schuldiner foi uma das figuras mais importantes da história do metal".  Schuldiner mesmo era modesto sobre sua parte na história do death metal, observando que "eu não acho que eu deveria levar os créditos por este material death metal. Eu sou apenas um cara de uma banda, e eu acho que Death é uma banda de metal ".  Schuldiner foi classificada como a No. 10 no livro de Joel McIver Os 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists em 2009 e n º 20 em Março Guitar World 2004 "os 100 Maiores Guitarristas de Metal".  Schuldiner fundou a editora Mutilation Music em 1987, afiliado com o desempenho organização de direitos BMI.
