The initial line-up of the band included drummer Richard Stevers, guitarist Gary Ray Thompson, bassist Tom Harris, lead singer Tom Beaudry (aka:Kelly Green), and later Larry Zelanka as off staff keyboardist.
 
Frijid Pink, formada por membros do Detroit Vibrations, passou seus primeiros dois anos excursionando por todo o Michigan Sudeste / área de Detroit. O grupo assinou contrato com Parrot Records em 1969. Seus dois primeiros singles, "Tell Me Why" e "Blues Drivin '", não conseguiu atrair muita atenção, mas o seu terceiro trabalho, uma guitarra distorcida, orientada prestação de "House of the Rising Sun", alcançou o Top Ten no E.U. Billboard Hot 100. Este disco vendeu mais de um milhão de cópias, recebendo assim um disco de ouro.  A canção foi literalmente um enchimento ", usando o tempo no final de uma sessão de gravação. A banda foi tão popular em sua área de Detroit nativa que um principiante Led Zeppelin (que eram só então começar a partir de restos de The Yardbirds) abriu para eles em Detroit's Grande Ballroom. Frijid Pink auto-intitulado debut LP seguido em 1970, como fez o seu segundo lançamento descongelados. A maior parte do primeiro álbum e toda a escrever o segundo álbum foi fornecido por Beaudry / Thompson. Singles posteriores, incluindo "Sing a Song for Freedom" e um cover de "Heartbreak Hotel" não esteve à altura sucessos anteriores, e após a partida de Beaudry e Thompson, uma nova formação, com Jon Wearing no vocal, Craig Webb na guitarra e Larry Zelanka nos teclados gravado em 1972 Earth Omen. O grupo teria outra formação no lugar antes de voltar a entrar no estúdio para gravar o 1975's All Inside Pink com Jo Baker nos vocais e Popolizio Larry tocar o baixo.
Ao longo dos anos tem havido pessoal de linha de várias empresas para Frijid Pink, mesmo sem alguns membros originais. Uma tal versão da banda formada em 2001. Eles gravaram um álbum, Interior de calor, que estava previsto para lançamento em 2002, mas foi puxado pela gravadora, Dinastia Records. Em 2005, outra fila se formou com a maioria dos membros originais; Stevers baterista haviam conseguido que o baixista e vocalista Tom Harris Tom Beaudry, juntamente com o guitarrista Steve Dansby (ex programação final dos anos 1970 de Cactus) eo tecladista Larin Michaels. No final de 2006, após uma tentativa de, mais uma vez reunir os membros originais, Stevers começou a fazer testes de outros músicos para a reforma do Frijid Pink. Essa nova formação gravou um álbum e continua a desempenhar as datas do clube e funções públicas na área de Michigan do sudeste.
