Self Portrait 1970 é o álbum de estréia Folk / Rock / Funk cantora Ruth Copeland. O álbum foi lançado pela Invictus Records em 1970 e produzido por Ruth Copeland, apesar de ser amplamente acreditavam que o verdadeiro produtor do álbum foi ela então marido Jeffrey Bowen trabalhando sob um pseudónimo. O álbum foi gravado durante presumivelmente a mesma que produziu sessões do Parlamento debut album, ósmio. Em 1996 ambos os álbuns foram Ruth Copeland licenciada pela HDH Inc. e reeditada pela P-Vine Records individualmente. Em 1997 ambos Ruth Copeland álbuns foram reeditados em um CD sob o título justapostos Self Portrait / I Am What I Am (Deepbeats DEEPM 022). Foi, então, emitida sob o título Gimme Shelter - A Invictus Sessions (Castelo Música CMRCD 576). Ambas as compilações omitida a faixa "Un Bel Di (One Fine Day)". Até à data, tanto Ruth Copeland álbuns não tenham sido introduzidos nos os E.U. em CD.
