The Masters Apprentices (or The Masters para os fãs) foram uma banda de rock australiana liderada por Jim Keays lead vocals, que formou em 1965 em Adelaide, Austrália do Sul, mudou-se para Melbourne, em fevereiro de 1967, e tentou entrar no mercado do Reino Unido a partir de 1970, antes da dissolução, em 1972.  Seus popular singles australianos são "Undecided", "Living in a Child's Dream", "5:10 Man", "Think About Tomorrow Today", "Turn Up Your Radio" and "Because I Love You". A banda lançou a carreira de baixista, Glenn Wheatley, , mais tarde, um empresário da indústria da música e um gerente de artista, tanto para Little River Band e John Farnham . A banda reformada periodicamente, incluindo, em 1987-1988 e novamente posteriormente, pois eles foram introduzidos no Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame, em 1998, juntamente com The Angels..  Tanto Keays, com His Master's Voice e Wheatley , com o Paper Paradise,, escreveu memórias, em 1999, que incluiu as suas experiências com a banda.

Somente vou listar a discografia:

Felizmente, depois de anos sendo mais escassos do que os dentes de galinha, LPs todos The Masters"original estão agora disponíveis no CD da Ascension Records. Isso inclui a versão expandida do primeiro álbum, incluindo as várias faixas como o cover de "I Feel Fine" (que foram removidos do LP anterior e lançamentos de CD), mais raras faixas ao vivo e suplente assume.
A compilação Raven Hands of Time é uma excelente panorâmica da carreira da banda e, claro, inclui a habitual Glenn Baker encarte multa (thanks, Glenn!). Now That It's Over é uma grande compilação de preços mais baixos juntos por Jim Keays, inclui o melhor do '69-'72 gravações, e pode ser encontrado nas células de desconto na maioria das lojas de discos australiano. Ambos os álbuns foram lançados originalmente em LP e foram posteriormente relançado em CD. Desde a reformas da banda houve várias compilações novos, alguns com ou re-gravadas versões dos hits clássicos como ."Because I Love You".

Os LPs originais (especialmente Nickelodeon) e na maioria das singles são extremamente difíceis de encontrar e agora vale uma pequena fortuna. Se você vê-los, agarrá-los!

Em junho de 2000, o documentário the Masters, Turn Up Your Video foi lançado como uma forma de home vídeo VHS longo prazo através ABC Enterprises, e uma versão expandida, desde então, foram emitidos em DVD. Inclui entrevistas com membros da banda, raras e nunca antes visto imagens de arquivo do grupo, incluindo a faixa-metragem clipes de canções como "Dead & Buried" e ."Because I Love You".  A versão em VHS é executado por cerca de 98 minutos, mas o documentário foi cortado para cerca de 50 minutos para a seleção no programa de TV ABC em junho de 2000.
