Jimmy Thackery

(born May 19, 1953, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
 is an American blues singer and guitarist.

Thackery passou quatorze anos como parte do Nighthawks, de Washington, DC baseado blues e rock ensemble raízes. Depois de deixar o Nighthawks em 1986, excursionou Thackery em seu próprio nome.


Nascido em Pittsburgh e cresceu em Washington, Thackery juntou-se ao Nighthawks em 1972 e passou a registrar mais de vinte álbuns com eles. Em 1986 ele começou a excursionar com o The Assassins, um blues seis peças originais, rock e R & B grupo que ele já tinha ajudado a iniciar como uma banda de férias quando o Nighthawks tomou uma das suas raras interrupções. Em 2002 Thackery liberado, We Got It, seu primeiro álbum em Telarc e em 2006, no seu estado natural, com Earl e Cate Ernie em Rykodisc. Em 2007, ele lançou Solid Ice novamente com  the Drivers .
