Sandy Denny foi o cantor folk rock britânico de sua geração. Tendo sido a única pessoa fora do Led Zeppelin para cantar em um de seus álbuns não fere essa credencial. Denny pode ser ouvida dueto com Robert Plant em "The Battle of Evermore." Deixando de lado uma possível carreira de enfermagem, Denny definir suas vistas sobre a música e se tornou a voz da banda britânica de folk rock, Fairport Convention. Dentro de dois anos, ela ea banda se separou, que, em retrospecto, não era provavelmente a escolha mais sábia, pois nem ela nem a banda nunca foram para coincidir com a grandeza que tinham conseguido juntos.
